​

• The provision of a minimum of five vehicles is preferred but not essential, with a maximum of 50 vehicles supplied through this EOI.
   

• Vehicles are to be delivered to an agreed location in the Greater Hobart area in early 2023 or sooner as agreed.
   

Specifications

​

• The vehicles must be capable of being registered as a vehicle by the Tasmanian Motor Vehicle Registry (Department of State Growth)
   

• The vehicles are to be:

  • a maximum of 2.4 metres wide and

  • a minimum of 6 metres long to a maximum of 8.4 metres long and

  • a maximum height of 4.3 metres high.
     

• The vehicle exterior must be in a colour palette consisting of charcoal, black or timber finish or a combination of the these.
   

• The vehicle structure and fit out must be suitable for its residential purpose and transportable nature, including avoidance of brittle products and finishes.
   

• The vehicles must offer self-sufficiency and sustainability features and design, including:

  • being effectively insulated for the Tasmanian climate

  • being fitted with solar electricity infrastructure or the ability to accommodate this

  • being fitted with an electric heating and cooling system that is a fixture, such as reverse cycle heat pump (wood fires not accepted)

  • being fitted with a composting toilet or incinerating toilet or the ability to accommodate this or a similar off-grid solution

  • energy and water-saving fixtures and fittings

  • capability for onboard holding of drinking and grey water.
     

• The vehicles should be fitted out to ‘move in’ level, including being fitted with/featuring:

  • a sleeping area for a minimum of two people. Sleeping zone access from the floor or located in a loft configuration are acceptable. The sleeping area should be fitted with an innerspring or high quality foam mattress that is at least double sized. 

  • an electric oven and stovetop (1 cooking plate is acceptable)

  • a shower (no bath)

  • window treatments that provide privacy in bathrooms and sleeping areas.
